How to Create Your Map Album

One click, less than a minute. Your photos never leave your computer.

Step 1 — Add Your Photos

Launch Photos Mapper and click the "Add Photos" button, then select photos from your folder. That's all the work you have to do — so easy!

Step 2 — Photos Mapper Reads the GPS Data

For every photo, Photos Mapper reads the latitude and longitude stored inside it (EXIF GPS data), together with the date and time. In the window above you can see each photo being checked — OK! means the location was found.

Note: your photos must contain geographic information. Turn on the location setting on your camera or phone before you take pictures.

Step 3 — Open Your Finished Map Album

Photos Mapper creates a single HTML file for you and opens it in your web browser — Chrome, Firefox or Edge. Your photos appear pinned on the map, exactly where they were taken:

Your Privacy Is Safe

  • You need not upload your photos to any server
  • All photos stay on your disk — nothing is ever uploaded
  • The generated album's map loads online map tiles, like any map website
  • No account, no registration, no tracking
